Fact Sheet:
Program Description:
placement

Students who have arranged an overseas placement should register their details here. Medical Placements should be registered against the "Selective" and "DE" term options.

Registering will allow you to arrange credit approval with your faculty, receive travel safety services, obtain information about the University's travel insurance, and receive Study Overseas updates. Additionally, you will be considered for any available scholarships for which you may be eligible.

Credit

Study Overseas recommends that students use their GLAS application “02 Faculty Approval” questionnaire to confirm faculty approval for credit or recognition towards their degree before paying any deposits or other non-refundable arrangements. Students should also familiarise themselves with the eligibility criteria and processing timeframes for any associated funding sources.

Funding

Funding for your program may be available to eligible students through the OS-HELP loan scheme.

The Global Learning Travel Grant is designed to help fund and support students undertaking international education as part of their degree. Students completing a short program overseas which commences on or before 30 June 2019 and is contributing to the requirements of their degree may apply. The Global Learning Travel Grant amount for placements is $500. Further details and eligibility requirements can be found here.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is provided by the University free of charge for students receiving credit for their placement. Exclusions apply; please refer to the Insurance Guide for more information.

When to apply

You should only click Apply Now if you have already arranged a placement through your faculty or another provider. Registering here in the system will not make these arrangements for you.
