Improve your Japanese language skills and experience Japanese culture first hand with the University of Adelaide's Japanese In-Country Summer School to Kyoto, Japan.

Ritsumeikan University is one of Japan’s leading universities. Home to many UNESCO World Heritage Sites whilst also a progressive and modern city, the new and old aspects of Kyoto co-exist in perfect harmony, providing program participants a unique learning environment for short-term intensive language study and the opportunity to experience cultural exchange and exploration.

This program provides the opportunity to take part in temple visits, Zen meditation, Japanese cooking classes and learn to play traditional Japanese drums. On weekends students are free to explore Kyoto and its surroundings such as Osaka or Nara and practice their newly acquired Japanese language skills.
