AU Summer
 
 

Students from the University of Adelaide have the opportunity to escape the Australian winter and study at Aarhus Summer University in Denmark. The program will consist of a broad variety of courses, taught in English at Bachelor’s and Master’s level, within the fields of: Arts, Business and Economics, Media and Communication, Social Science and Law, Health, Science and Technology. Along with the academic program, Aarhus University offers an accommodation service, visa service, and a social program for students.

Students are advised to book flights only when Faculty approval has been sought and admission into the AU Summer University has been confirmed.

Please note that students will be travelling independently to Denmark. This is a regarded as a short-term exchange, rather than a study tour led by University of Adelaide staff.

Program Dates

Summer Term I: 6 July - 24 July, 2020




Applications and Deadlines

1. Students must submit their initial application to Study Overseas by clicking 'Apply Now' by no later than Tuesday 31 March 2020.

2. Study Overseas will nominate students to Aarhus University on a rolling basis.

3. Nominated students will be provided with further application information after nomination.



Program Costs

Students will enrol in the appropriate exchange course at the University of Adelaide as advised by their faculty. Application fee and tuition fee will be waived at Aarhus University for nominated students. Students will need to cover airfares, accommodation, and general living expenses.

Please note that students will be liable for the appropriate tuition/HECS payments at the University of Adelaide in addition to any overseas program fee at AU Summer University.



Financial Assistance


Eligible students may be able to access up to AUD$6,791 of funding from an OS-Help loan. Please review the Study Overseas website to check your eligibility to receive funding and how to apply. 

Please note that there will be a limited number of OS-Help Loans available in 2020, and some applicants may not be eligible for an OS-Help Loan. OS-HELP loans can only be processed once students have submitted their loan application forms and have met all eligibility requirements. Once approved, it can take 3-4 weeks for approved students to receive the funding.

Comprehensive travel insurance is provided by the University of Adelaide to students free of charge for students receiving credit for this program.

Credit and Enrolment

Students will enrol in the appropriate University of Adelaide course as advised by their academic Faculty. It is at the discretion of the Faculty what academic credit each student is eligible to receive.



Pre Departure Session

Study Overseas will be running a Pre-Departure session for this program. Further information about this session will be emailed to students after acceptance onto the program.
