Venture Creation at ThincLab Châlons

Would you like to spend 12 weeks in France and receive credit for 6 units?

ThincLab Châlons is the University’s business incubator in Châlons-en-Champagne, France, which is about an hour from Paris by train.

The ENTREP 7902/3902 Project Abroad course is available to undergraduate or postgraduate students and is based out of ThincLab Châlons and will develop your knowledge, understanding and application of skills in developing a business idea to equip you to start your own business in the future should you decide to do so (in Australia or abroad), or to look at business growth opportunities within an existing organisation.

During the course you will be immersed in ‘all things entrepreneurship’ whilst using and developing practical skills by undertaking placements in vignerons, agribusinesses, and other businesses depending on your area of interest, across the region.

The course is taught in English and includes:

  • 12 weeks in the University’s ThincLab Châlons business incubator starting with a one-week introduction to venture creation, followed by 11 weeks mentoring and coaching to help you develop a business idea/business model;
  • Work placements in champagne houses, vignerons, agribusinesses, and other businesses for up to 2 days a week over 8 weeks;
  • Opportunity to form collaborations with other students and start-up businesses in the region and University of Adelaide’s incubator network.
  • A cultural immersion experience.
