Program Description:

Kedge Winter School

Develop your knowledge and understanding of Disruptive Technologies and their influence on Modern Management in the heart of Paris with Kedge Business School.

Kedge International Winter School offers students the chance to gain a handle on the Disruptive Technologies shaping the landscape of modern business - Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchains - and more importantly, learn how to make sense of these emerging and innovative technologies.

 
  • The winter school is comprised of 2 courses – Disruptive Technologies and Creating Customer Value with Innovative Technologies
  • Classes are from Monday – Thursday with an included Business Trip and Social/Cultural Activity each Friday.
  • All courses are formally evaluated and lead to Official Course Transcripts and a Certificate of Completion
  • All courses delivered in English by top, international faculty.

Please note that students will be traveling independently to Paris. This is a regarded as a short-term exchange, rather than a study tour led by University of Adelaide staff.

This program runs from January 6 -  January 17, 2020.



Program Costs and Finances

Students will enrol in 6 unit exchange course at the University of Adelaide as advised by their academic Faculty. Students will be liable for the tuition fee associated with this enrolment.

Students will also need to cover their own airfares, accommodation and general living expenses. Please note that students will be traveling independently to Paris. This is a regarded as a short-term exchange, rather than a study tour led by University of Adelaide staff. Students will also need to pay a one off registration fee of 100€ to Kedge Business School.



Financial Assistance

Eligible students may access up to AU$6,791 from an OS-HELP loan. Please review the Study Overseas website to check your eligibility to receive OS-HELP and how to apply. Please note that OS-HELP loans can only be processed once students have submitted their loan application forms and have met all eligibility requirements. Once processed, it can take 3-4 weeks for students to receive the funding.

Comprehensive travel insurance is provided free of charge by the University of Adelaide for students receiving credit for this program.



Course Descriptions

Course 1:   Disruptive Technologies  (January 6 - 10, 2020)
  • Improve your understanding of disruptive technologies, from the perspectives of technology, intelligence and business, including: Big Data, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchains.
  • Learn about the steps in the transformation of data collection to decision making.
  • Develop a roadmap to conduct transformation, delivering business-value through technology disruption

Course 2:   Creating Customer Value with Innovative Technologies (January 13 – 17, 2020)
  • Understand how Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things impact marketing strategies
  • Reflect critically on the opportunities and challenges of innovative technologies
  • Apply the learned concepts on practical examples and real life cases
  • Enhance strategies on how to create customer value with innovative technologies

Credit and Enrolment

Students from the Faculty of Professions must take both Kedge courses in order to receive 6 units of credit. Kedge will also be administering an additional assessment component for University of Adelaide students and all Adelaide students must successfully complete this additional assessment in order to receive 6 units of credit.

If you are interested in applying for this program from a different Faculty, please contact Study Overseas for further information.

Students will enrol in the appropriate University of Adelaide course as advised by their academic Faculty. It is at the discretion of the Faculty what academic credit each student is eligible to receive.



Applications and Deadlines

1. Students must submit their initial application to Study Overseas by clicking 'Apply Now' by no later than 8 December, 2019.

2. Study Overseas will nominate students to Kedge Business School on a rolling basis.

3. Nominated students will be provided with further application information after nomination.



Pre-Departure Session

Study Overseas will be running a Pre-Departure session for this program on 1 November, 2019 for applicants who have applied by then. Further information about this session will be emailed to students after acceptance onto the program.
