Program Description:

HHL MBA exchange

The Adelaide MBA exchange and study abroad offerings have been carefully selected to provide students with the valuable opportunity to undertake part of their studies overseas through short-term programs which accommodate the needs of working professionals. Students going to HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management will complete the Summer Program 2020 "Doing Business in Europe: Opportunities and Challenges". Students will spend a week in Leipzig and a week in Prague and will develop a deeper understanding of international business concepts, gain first hand insights into the operation of overseas organisations through site visits and have the opportunity to network with MBA students from around the world.

Doing Business in Europe: Opportunities & Challenges

Building on the research interests of the faculty of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and current trends, participants are
offered various viewpoints as to business in Europe while studying in both Leipzig and Prague. The goal of this program is to offer a comprehensive
view as to various economic, political and business climates throughout Europe. It will be composed of lectures, company visits and case studies providing students a variety of perspectives.

Alongside the interactive lectures and company visits, participants will have the opportunity to simply experience and enjoy what Germany and the Czech Republic have to offer through exciting cultural outings. Participants will be taken on city tours in both Leipzig and Prague visiting cultural landmarks and conclude each week with a special day featuring the best of the local cuisine!

This program runs from June 22 -  July 3, 2020.



Program Costs and Finances

Students will enrol in 3 unit exchange course EXCHANGE 7001BUS - Exchange for Business PG Students. Students will be liable for the tuition fee associated with that enrolment.

Students are required to cover their own airfares, accommodation and general living expenses. Please note that students will be traveling independently to Germany. This is a regarded as a short-term exchange, rather than a study tour led by University of Adelaide staff. Students will also need to pay a one off fee upon arrival for organised meals and events of 150€ to HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management.



Financial Assistance

Comprehensive travel insurance is provided free of charge by the University of Adelaide for students receiving credit for this program.




Credit and Enrolment

Students will enrol in 3 unit exchange course EXCHANGE 7001BUS - Exchange for Business PG Students. Students will be liable for the tuition fee associated with that enrolment.



Applications and Deadlines

1. Students must submit their initial application to Study Overseas by clicking 'Apply Now' by no later than 18 March, 2020.

2. Study Overseas will nominate students to HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management on a rolling basis.

3. Nominated students will be provided with further application information after nomination.



Pre-Departure Session

Study Overseas will be running a Pre-Departure session for this program. This session will be held on June 1st from 10:00-11:00am in Lower Napier Building, Room LG24.
